Path of Life

Path of Life

This illustrates the typical path of life many of us have. We have difficulties and rough roads to cover to get to where we need to go. We meet challenges along the way. We have dark areas to negotiate, rocks to climb over, challenges to overcome and difficult people to deal with.

Light on the Path of Life Experience
As we go along on our journey of life we learn from our adventures, going from the dark areas of ignorance to the brighter areas of knowledge. There are diversions along the way which can take you off track but there is always a way to return to your true path. Some of these detours are necessary because we can gain knowledge and information to help us take the next steps in our lives.

Rest on the Path of Life Rest and regain your energy
We don’t always move forward in life. Sometimes we need to retreat so we can rest and regain our energy. When we are ready we move on again with a new motivation to explore the path of life, what it has to offer us and what we can give to it.

Update: January 2008
This picture was chosen for a group exhibition curated by a multi disciplinary team of staff from the Waterford Regional Hospital in partnership with the Waterford Healing Arts Trust. Here’s what Finbarr O’ Rourke, one of the curators had to say about the picture:

“The colours, shapes and composition of ‘Path of Lives’ create a visually exciting image. The eye is drawn through the work along the central spiral. This could be a stairway, a road or even a strand of DNA. As you travel through the work various shapes and objects appear on each side of the central spiral and give it a multi dimensional feel. This colourful image gives the impression of fluidity and movement."

If you like the picture you can print it out a low resolution copy by filling in the comment form below. Pleas keep in mind this is not a good quality image but it'll print reasonably well onto a regular letter or A4 size page. When you submit the form you will be given the password to the page.

Quality Print
If you prefer a quality signed limited edition archival photographic print you’ll find instructions on the Gallery page. The prints are signed, numbered and approved by me.
